Ella Marian Hale, 96, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013. Ella was born in Tabor, Kentucky on March 22, 1917 to Lewis C. and Queen Blevins.

She and her husband relocated to Galena Park, Texas in 1949 and later Channelview. In 1991 the Hales moved to Conroe to be closer to family where Ella continued to nurture and care for her ill husband.

Ella was a member of North Side Baptist Church, Order of the Eagles in Houston, volunteer at Tidelands Hospital and was very active with the Channelview Senior Center while she lived in that area. In February 2008, due to health reasons, Ella moved to the Willis Nursing Home where she made many friends and in August 2009 moved to Conroe Health Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Elmer R. Hale, her parents, and eleven siblings.

Survivors: daughter, Janice Oliver of Montgomery; sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Karen Hale of Hilltop Lakes: Larry and Donna Hale of New Braunfels; and Terry and Debbie Hale of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Scott Hale and wife, Dr. Irma Aquirre of Jewett, Stewart Hale of Houston, Chris Oliver and wife Tina of Montgomery, Michael Oliver of Austin, Lee Hale of Houston, Jeremy and Jeffrey Hale of Broken Arrow, OK, and Tiffany Ramirez of Gulfport, MS; ten great-grandchildren; sister Marjorie Hake of Ft. Thomas, KY and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ella will always be remembered by her laughter and love of life. The family wishes to thank the staff at One North, Conroe Regional Hospital, and the staff at Conroe Health Care for their loving care of Ella or "Miss Ellie".
