He was born in Bird In Hand, son of the late John S. & Barbara Smoker King. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are 4 children: John S. husband of Lydia King King of Lancaster, Elmer E. husband of Barbara Smucker King of Narvon, Sara E. wife of John K. Stoltzfus of Honey Brook, Melvin E. husband of Martha Stoltzfus King of Narvon, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Lavina Stoltzfus of Bart & Barbara Stoltzfus of Gordonville. He was preceded in death by 2 siblings: Eli King & Katie Fisher.
