Michael Lauver lived in Donegal Twp. Lancaster Co., it is believed that it was near Hagerstown, Maryland prior to 1783. There is a deed from Michael Quirans dated May 9, 1783 to Michael Lavor of Fermanagh Twp., Cumberland Co., for land in Penn Twp., Northumberland County. He then moved to the northwest corner of the township in 1786. It lay back of Evendale and on the line of Juniata and Snyder Counties. Michael Lauver was a blacksmith by trade.
