Mrs. Sarah Scurlock - 1910 Federal Census finds her in Kansas City, KS, Wyandotte County at the home of her son Henton/Hinton Gordon. It shows she has had 2 children and they are both living. She is listed as 80 years old in 1910. Birth year and place recorded from this census, note - changed to date listed on her fathers FAG page.

It appears from census records that her Father's name was David Hinton/Henton and her mother was Elizabeth. She married first Benjamin Franklin Gordon, and they had two children, a daughter, Luella Gordon and a son Henton/Hinton Gordon. She married 2nd Rev J F Scurlock on Nov 20, 1873.

According to the newspaper clipping from The Lexington Intelligencer, Friday, December 6, 1918 she was buried in Waverly. Not sure if it is safe to assume it was the Waverly cemetery or not, but certainly in that area. Her first husband was buried in the Waverly cemetery.
