Dennis G. Walburn, 75, of Beverly, Ohio, died Friday, March 10, 2017 at Bay Front Medical Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He was born on February 24, 1942 in Middleport, Ohio, son of Raymond and Mary Harrison Walburn.
He served in the US Air Force and retired from UPS as a delivery driver. He was a member of the Beverly Baptist Church and American Legion Post #389 in Beverly.
He was married on May 28, 1961 to Doris M. Rice Walburn, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sherry Stengel and husband Mike of Lowell, Kristen Ellis and husband Alan of Beverly and Tamara Arnold and husband Tim of Lancaster; eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; five brothers, Raymond Walburn (Mary Lou), Dana Walburn (Beverly), Dale Walburn (Margorie), Blaine Walburn (Vonda) and Pete Walburn (Romaine); one sister, Mary Taylor (David); two brothers in law, David Rice (Sharon) and Bob Rice (Laura Lee); sister in law, Debbie Chancey (Bill).
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tracy Walburn; granddaughter, Lydia Arnold; brother, Ronnie Walburn and his mother and father in law, Gene and Edna Rice.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Beverly Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery with military services at the grave. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly.
