Born in Brawley, CA on February 6, 1952 to Manuel and Teresa Grijalva, Manuel went to his eternal home on March 2, 2017 after a long struggle with chronic illnesses.

Manuel was raised in Brawley, CA, and at the age of 17 entered the U.S Army and served our country. Upon returning home he married his soulmate, Elisa A. Grijalva on April 22, 1972, and spent forty-four years of marriage together.

Manuel was preceded in death by his brother Robert Grijalva Sr. and nephew Robert Grijalva Jr.

Manuel is survived by his wife Elisa; his only son Benjamin Grijalva; only daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Vincent Lozano, and his two grandchildren, his Hunnybunny Averie Lozano and his Buddy Ol' Pal Buky Lozano. Also survived by his parents, and siblings Elsie Nunez (Fidel), Sylvia Grijalva, Teresa Delgado (Eddie), Fred Grijalva (Delfina), and many god-children, nieces, and nephews.

His viewing and mass will be from 11am-1pm, March 9 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 7050 Brockton Ave, Riverside CA, 92506. Services will follow at 1pm with burial at Olivewood Cemetery, 3300 Central Ave, Riverside, CA 92506.
