Funeral services for Mrs. Earnestine Thornhill Boyd, 76, will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Buddy Day officiating. Burial will be in the Enon Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd passed away at Diversicare in Tylertown on Sunday, March 12, 2017. She was born March 15, 1940 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Earnie L. and Coylea Mathis Thornhill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Clinton L. Boyd; and sister Elaine Peak.
She was a member of Enon Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting and crafting. Survivors include her son Robert “Robbie” Boyd and his wife JoAnn; grandchildren Tyra Hightower and her husband John, and Misty Beard and her husband Scott; great-grandchildren Chelsea Beard, Devan Hightower, Donovan Beard and Chasity Hightower; one great-great-grandchild Paisley Claire Hightower; and sisters Pansy T. Peak and Patsy T. Scheffler.
Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 5 – 8 p.m.
