She is survived by her husband Duane E. McBride; one daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Bryan Peeler, Lawton; 3 granddaughters Madison and Gracie McDonald, and Brooklyn Mayle all of Lawton; one sister Shirley (Vowell) Halterman, Lawton; one nephew Matt Wright, Lawton; two nieces Lisa Lytle, Enid, and Tiffany Sixkiller, Lawton, plus the children of these relatives and a brother and sister in law Gene and Charla Moore, Vader, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents Naymond and Mary Lee Vowell; one son Duane E. McBride, Jr.; one sister Bethany (Vowell) Hill, Pensacola, Florida and niece Angela Payne.
Brenda married Duane E. McBride from Warrengton, Oregon on January 5, 1976 while Duane was in the US Army. She attended Elgin Public Schools and was a stay at home Mom and housewife. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters above all else, and took care of them on a daily basis when they got off the school bus. She enjoyed attending their school programs and seeing them grow. She made jewelry as a past time, and loved summers in the pool with family.
