She retired from Engineering from NY state in 2007, and lived in Smithtown, NY for 40 years. A board member of her homeowners association, she enjoyed spending time and traveling often with her family, and she watched her small grandchildren daily. She graduated from Washington Senior High School in 1963 and a BA from University of South Dakota in 1969. A kind, vivacious, youthful, nurturing, supportive, selfless, loving mother, friend and grandmother will be greatly missed. Since retiring, her greatest passions included traveling with family, shopping, and watching her granddaughters.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa A. Klein-Karp, son Jeffrey R. Klein, son-in-law Lance A. Karp, daughter-in-law Bami Klein, sister Jane Canter, and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents Orval and Dorothy Beck of Sioux Falls, SD. She is survived by her cousins Dick Beck, Ron Beck, Steven Stearns, Richard Stearns, Jim Crisp and aunt Mildred Stearns.
