Rowland Davis LANCASTER - Rowland Davis, 66, of 130 Hamilton Ave. died Sunday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington.

Born Aug. 24, 1924, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Jess and Beatrice Tudor Davis.

A retired farmer, he was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a veteran ofWorldWarll.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie Masters Davis; three sons, James R. and Ricky Davis, both of Lancaster, and Harold T. Davis of Stanford; two daughters, Beverly Ann Hunter of Lancaster and Vicky Newton of Irvine; his stepmother, Laura Long of Richmond; a brother, J.B. Davis of Louisville; two sisters, Rose Simpson and Dessie Kleete, both of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster by the Revs. Billy Estes and Rudy Henderson.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger, Gordon, James W. and Roy T. Davis, Ronnie Sutton and Russell Peel. Honorary pallbearers will be Willard and Jerry Davis, Johnson Price, Lonnie Napier, Ray Hammonds, Dr. Paul Sides and Ricky Bolton.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home
