Debbie Braddock Hunt, 59, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas, on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in the Rice Cemetery.

Debbie was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late William Eugene "Gene" and Nellie Ann (Perry) Braddock. She grew up in Rice and attended school in Rice and Blooming Grove. She and Rickey E. Ragan have been together for 25 years and made their home in Emhouse.

Debbie worked for Collin Street Bakery for several years as a manager and for over 30 years as a Rural Carrier for the United States Post Office. She enjoyed being outdoors and especially fishing. She was an avid Cowboy fan and loved playing washers. In her younger years, she played basketball and was a barrel racer. Her family was the joy of her life, especially the grandchildren who called her "Measy", along with the nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeffery Braddock.

Survivors include her lifemate, Rickey E. Ragan; sons: Steven Kyle Hunt and his wife, Angelia, Sean Lee Hunt and his wife, Jolene, Johnny Ray Ragan and his wife, Liz, and Rickey Glen Ragan and his wife, Brittany; daughter, La Jenia Ragan and Warren Hutcherson; nine grandchildren; brothers: Steve Braddock and his wife, Jan, Ricky Braddock and his wife, Joni, and Roger Braddock and his wife, Judy; other relatives and many friends.
