Dale L. Ramsey, 84, of Santa Fe, IN, passed away at 1:13 P.M., Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN.

He was born in Miami County, IN on November 5, 1932 the son of Paul and Bernice Jenkins Ramsey. Dale married Doris Stambaugh at the Santa Fe UMC on June 16, 1957 and she survives.

Dale was a 1950 graduate of Bunker Hill High School and a US Army Veteran. His military decorations include the Good Conduct Medal, the Army of Occupation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Dale was employed as a Radio Analyst at Delco Electronics for 30 years. A lifetime Miami County farmer, he retired from farming in 2016. Dale was a member of the Santa Fe UMC Church where he served as treasurer for more than 30 years, taught Sunday school and was a lay leader. Dale was a graduate of DeVry Tech. Institute where he studied electronics he also was a graduate of National School of Automotive and Diesel Mechanics. Dale also completed several courses from the Moody Bible Institute.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Doris, is a daughter Kathryn Murdock and her husband Paul of Kokomo; sons Paul Ramsey of Kokomo and Michael Ramsey and his wife Tina of Santa Fe, IN; a sister Bonnie Horner and her husband Norman of Converse, IN; a brother, Don Ramsey and his wife Marlene of Lebanon, IN and grandchildren Sarah Murdock, Macie Ramsey, Martina Ramsey, Grace Ramsey and Tyler Ramsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Deane and Delton Ramsey.

A service celebrating the life of Dale L. Ramsey will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main, Amboy, IN with Pastor Thomas Daugherty officiating. Burial will be in the Santa Fe Cemetery with Military graveside services provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit. Family and friends will gather from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Santa Fe UMC Church
