Kendall first worked as a self-employed dairy farmer before his employment for the former Mitch's Mobile Homes in Woodsville.
He later worked at H.O. Taylor Chevrolet, Wells River, VT before returning to dairy farming. For a time he worked for the former Morrill Construction in North Haverhill before returning, once again, to dairy farming.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Donna, of Bath, NH; two daughters, Tracy Puffer Groton, VT; Julie Ainsworth of Ft Bragg, NC; a son, Peter Emerson of Bradford, VT; two step daughters, Tina Short of Benton, NH, and Tanya Locke of North Haverhill; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Oliver and Mary Grant of Groton, VT; two brothers, David P. Emerson and Gale "Pete" Emerson, all of Groton, VT.
