Pella, IA.- Services will be at 10:30am Thursday at First Baptist Church in Monroe for Rachel Ford of Pella. Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Mrs. Ford, 89, died of complications of diabetes Monday at Pella Community Nursing Home, where she was a resident about three years.
Born in Sue City, Missouri, she lived in Monroe most of her life until moving to the care center. She had previously owned a restaurant and was a member of the Baptist church and Women's Relief Corps.
Surviving are three daughters, Lorraine Honnold of Monroe, Helen Turner of Lexington, Kentucky, and Arlene Coy of Boulder City, Nevada; two sisters, Anna Wing of Pella and Lela Sharp of Sioux City, Iowa; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
