William Yarbrough or (Yarborough on some records) was born in Montgomery County to William Yarbrough Sr., who moved his family to Montgomery in 1800's and became Justice of the Peace in 1803 and in 1818 was among the first settlers of Appling County, Ga. and was listed in the 1820 census', William Yarbrough Sr. and his brother Benjamin of Laurens County were both Revolutionary soldiers....
