They moved to Portland in 1920 and had 2 children, John Lawrence 1920 and Elinor Jean 1922, before moving to Hillsboro. They divorced around 1933. In ~1934 John married Elsie and bought a farm in McMinnville. He enjoyed traditional farming using draft horses.
