Joy Evelyn Wright, age 83, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Harrison County, Kentucky, on July 19, 1933, to the late Boyd and Margaret Wagoner Doubman, she was a retired cook and a member of Elmarch United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold H. Wright; a brother, Boyd Reynolds Doubman; a sister, JoAnn Wood; and a great grandchild, Logan Marsh. She is survived by: two sons, Boyd (Bonnie) Wright and William Wright, both of Cynthiana; a daughter, Sheila (Charles) Neace, of Cynthiana; five grandchildren, Eric (Whitney) Webb, Brandy (Scott) Davis, Brittany Wright, Benjamin Waller and Hanna Waller; six great-grandchildren; and a special pet, Buddy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home by Jerry Watkins. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Pallbearers will be Eric Webb, Benjamin Waller, Brandy Davis, Hanna Waller and Brittany Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Neace, Derrick Spurlock and Scott Davis.
