Mrs. Lillie Mae Faison Peele James, age 82, of 6208 Keener Road, Clinton, NC, died Friday March 10, 2017 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC.
Born September 27, 1934, Mrs. James was the daughter of the late James and Bessie Mae Faison. She was a retired educator and was a member of Western Assembly Headquarters in Newton Grove, NC where she served in numerous capacities as long as her health permitted.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 17, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Western Assembly Headquarters, 9766 US HWY 701 Newton Grove, NC, Bishop William Earl Jones officiated. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Clinton, NC.
Visitation was held at Brock Memorial and Worley Funeral Home in Clinton, NC, on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 1:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
The family was at Mrs. James' residence at all other times.
Survivors include four daughters; Janice Wynn of Mt. Olive, NC, Linda Spinks of Greensboro, NC, Katrina Boykin of Clinton, NC and Deborah Ray of Fuquay Varina, NC, two sons; Larry Peele of Clinton, NC and James Peele of Durham, NC, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
