Charlie Wayne Edwards, 59, of Summit Street, died at 12:41 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Jenny Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Woods officiating.

Burial will be at Cave Spring Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A native of Trigg County, he was born Feb. 11, 1958, the son of the late James Odell Edwards and Betty Louise Radford Edwards. He was a member of Foston Chapel Baptist Church and had been a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church. He was a forklift driver at American Seeds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Doris R. Artis Edwards, Hopkinsville; his children, Sabrina Ann Artis (Fred) Mumford, Hopkinsville, Cybil Kay Artis, Louisville, Ida Ruth Artis, Abilene, Texas, Edwin (Michelle) Spencer Artis, Elkton; his siblings, Helen Sims, Terri Edwards, Janice (Brian) Stricklan, Tina Edwards, all of Hopkinsville; Pastor James O. (Marie) Edwards Jr., Kuttawa. Jerry R. (Marie) Edwards, Craig L. (Liucretia) Edwards, Steven T. Edwards, all of Hopkinsville and Virginia Wharton, Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
