He was a member of Cole's Cavalry in the Civil War. He was a member of Le Grange Lodge, I.O.O.F., of Boonsboro, and Antietam Post G.A.R. of Sharpsburg.
He was twice married, his first wife died about five years ago.
Surviving are the following children: D.H. Moore, Keedysville; Howard Moore, Polo, Ill.; Mrs. A.V. Lapold, near Sharpsburg; and Elsie K., at home; two brothers, G.J., Hamilton, Ohio; and W.P., Smoketown; and one sister, Mrs. Wastler, Thurmont.
Funeral Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock; services at the Lutheran Church in Keedysville; interment in Fairview Cemetery by the Odd Fellows Lodge and G.A.R. Post.
