CLEVELAND, PEGGY R., 77, peacefully passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Lanesville. She was a retired cytotechnologist who had worked for over fifty years in various laboratories in the area including Parker Cytology, National Health Lab, Laboratory Corp. of America, Smith Kline, Norton, Clark County and Floyd Memorial Hospitals. She was a member of The American Society of Cytopathology, The American Society for Clinical Pathology and The International Academy of Cytology. She was listed in America's Who's Who for several years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville, Indiana. She was an active Thoroughbred owner/ breeder and affiliated with associated organizations. Peggy truly loved her horses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter L. Cleveland Sr. Survivors include three children, Pamela Litch (Darrell), Paula Bertloff (Clark) and Peter L. Cleveland Jr. (Sherry); three grandsons, Peter Cleveland III, Brock Bertloff and Trevor Litch (Amanda); four granddaughters, Maggie Happel, Sashua Cleveland, Celia Bertloff and Sarah Barr (Jason); six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Taylor, Zoey, Isaac and Coleman; and two sisters, Betty Richey and Lynda Morgan. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Monday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Sunday.
