An Old Settler of This County Passes Away.
At Chippewa Falls at an early hour Sunday morning Thomas C. York, the well known and respected farmer of Clear Creek, died from an affection of the heart. He had been sick at Chippewa Falls for about a week, the end, however, coming sooner than expected. A few friends were at the bedside, among them Henry Hinrichs, of this city. The funeral will take place from the home in Clear Creek on Wednesday at 1 o'clock, the interment being in the Osseo cemetery. The deceased was a wrothy citizen, enjoying the esteem of all who know him. He came to this county in 1857, bravely meeting all the hardships of those pioneer days. In politics he was a Democrat. He leaves three sons and a daughter. Two sons and a daughter reside at Chippewa Falls and one son in Clear Creek."
