Douglas Edward Elliott, 70, passed away on September 6 2016. He is the son of the late Leighton Elliott and Fannie Lee Elliott. He graduated from Long Creek School in 1964. He worked for the NCDMV as license examiner for 30 years. He was a member of Long Creek Masonic Lodge of Charlotte N.C.

He is survived by one sister, Nancy Auten (Donald); one nephew, Danny Auten (Kim) and one niece, Terry Holsinger (David).

A graveside service was held Saturday, September 10 at 1pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 6230 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte N.C.
