Ms. Diane Barnes, was born on February 16, 1972 to the late Mrs. Lucille Bateman (Robert Bateman Jr.) and Mr. Johnny Fambro in Lamar County.

She sought Christ at an early age, and joined as faithful member to Greater Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. She touched many people with her angelic voice. She was educated in the Lamar County School System. She graduated from Lamar County Comprehensive High School. She loved being around her family, and she had a smile that could light up a room.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Mr. William Hosley; her parents; and her daughter, Takeisha Hosley. Diane departed from this earthly journey on February 28, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Diane leaves to cherish her memory: her father, Mr. Robert Bateman Jr. of Barnesville; two daughters, Mrs. Takelia (Demetrius) Peters of San Antonio, TX, and Ms. Jasmine Barnes of Barnesville, one son, Mr. Brandon Wyche of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Ka’Mirah Peters, Demetrius Peters, Jr., Jeremiah Gilbert, Jaylen Barnes, and Journee Barnes; seven sisters, Mrs. Sabrina(Octavious) Crawford of Valley, AL, Mrs. Tonia (Erwin) Smith of Barnesville, GA, Mrs. Nikki (Steven) Hedgecoth of Stockbridge, Ms. Tomeka Fambro, Ms. Allaneish Passmore, Ms.Tyronza Sanders, and Mrs. Jonek (Bernard) Mitchell, all of Barnesvile; three brothers, Mr. Robert (Elicia) Bateman III, Mr. Reco Bateman, and Mr. Phillip Bateman; a loving godbrother, Mr. Corey Barkely; a wonderful caregiver, Mrs. Fannie (Henry L.) Hosley; a devoted friend, Mr. Don Hamm; a best friend, Ms. Kesha Carreker; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who all will miss her beautiful smile and gracious spirit.
