Ralph William Carlson, 88, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Born March 16, 1928 on the family farm near Holdrege, Nebraska, to Carl F. and Mabel (Johnson) Carlson.

Ralph graduated from Holdrege High in 1945. He married Evelyn Lindgren on June 18, 1950. They had four children, Randy, Sandy, Corey, and Bev. Evelyn passed away in 1994. Ralph married Margaret (McClelland) Torell on February 22, 1997.

Ralph had many careers, as a farmer, carpenter, manager, salesman, and insurance agent, but most enjoyed his 37 years as a manager and sales specialist for Farmland Industries. Ralph resided in Holdrege, Albion, and in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Ralph was an active church member at Bethel Lutheran Church (Holdrege), Zion Lutheran Church (Albion), and St. Andrew's Lutheran Church (Lincoln), and was very active in Kiwanis and Habitat for Humanity.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; first wife, Evelyn; daughter, Beverly; sister, Virginia Johnson; brothers Clinton, Sam, and Donald Carlson; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law.

He is survived by: wife, Margaret Carlson; sons, Randy (Rebecca) and Corey (Patty) Carlson; daughter, Sandy Carlson; step-son, Bob (Mary) Torell; step-daughters, Ann (Ken) Swanson and Janice (Lee) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Dale) Fuchser, Alice Lindgren, and Donna Carlson; brother-in-law, Charles (Marge) Lindgren; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Burial at Fairview Cemetery.
