Alvin Wayne "Buddy" White, 59, of Bastrop, LA, died Monday, January 15, 2007, at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. Born August 6, 1947, to Tom and Annie Louise "Sue" Forrest White in Bastrop, he was an U. S. Navy veteran and a member of Meridian Baptist Church. He worked as a logger for Georgia-Pacific and loved to fish and hunt.
Survivors include one son, Brian Thomas White of Bastrop; one daughter, Dawn Renee White of Bastrop; and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rance Roland White.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Burial will follow at Lick Prairie Cemetery.
