Funeral Services for Mrs. Deloris S. Jones, 83, New Smyrna Beach, who passed on September 10, 2018, will be 11 AM, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Gainous-Wynn Funeral Home, with Bishop Robert B. Thomas, Pastor, Apostolic Faith Temple, officiating. Interment will follow in Glencoe-Geiger Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM, Friday, Sept 20, at Gainous-Wynn Funeral Home and from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.
Mrs. Jones was born on February 21, 1935 in New Smyrna Beach, FL to the late Louise Colley. She attended the public schools of Volusia County and was employed as a cook at New Smyrna Beach High School and Manor on the Green. She attended Solid Rock of Jesus Only. She enjoyed fishing.
She leaves to cherish hers memory, two sons: Joseph T. Brown, Jr. (Elaine) and John L. Brown (Rosalyn), all of Daytona Beach, Florida; three daughters: Venita Carter, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Terry Gilkes (Deighton), McDonough, GA, Barbara Tisdale, Orlando, Florida; grandchildren: Alexander Porter, Terressa Coates, Willie Porter, Jermaine Lloyd, Kenneth Willis, Paul Tisdale, Asaree Tisdale, and Joseph T. Brown, III; thirteen great grandchildren; a host of other family and sorrowing friends.
