Curtis L. Scott, 82, of LaGrange, GA passed away Thursday, 9 Mar 2017 at Wellstar West Georgia Health System.

Mr. Scott was born 29 Jan 1935 in LaGrange, GA to the late Homer Lee Scott and Marion Pearl Roach Scott. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of East LaGrange Baptist Church. Before retiring, he traveled many miles during his career as truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Carlton Scott.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Joyce Allison Scott; a devoted daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Radney Houze; special and faithful caregivers, Gayle Studdard and Brenda Jennings; niece, Pam Coleman; many cousins and friends, including a group of friends that he loved and met at Hardees in Franklin each Saturday.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, 11 Mar 2017 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev Steve Comer officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital in memory of Curtis L. Scott.
