Timothy Charles Lindsey, official greeter and watchman for his neighborhood, died on February 15, 2017 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. He was 67.
The son of the late Lester and Thelma Jones Lindsey, he was born on September 8, 1949 in Harrison, NJ. He was drafted during the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Airforce from 1971-1975. He married Eileen Bellew and they shared many happy years together, living in New Jersey, Pennslyvannia and New York, most recently Chester and Middletown. He always knew everyone in his neighborhood and kept in touch with what was happening around him. He made fast friends and could always be counted on to help others. He worked as a Ford representative for years and last worked for Advanced Auto Parts in Honesdale, PA.
Tim put up a courageous battle in his recent illness, and will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
In addition to his loving wife, Eileen, he is survived by his daughters, Danielle L. Verneau and her husband Roger of Morris Plains, NJ, Jennifer Lindsey and her son Brett Lougy-Lindsey of California, and Christopher Lindsey of South Jersey and his daughters.
Cremation will be private.
A Graveside Service with Military honors will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY
