Elizabeth Joan (Kessen) Sims, fondly known as "Betty", 87, of Rosenberg, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2017. She was born on August 25, 1929 in Lafayette, Indiana to Vincent and Mary Frances (Gouloos) Kessen. This loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend will be missed.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Kay Angel; and five siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Anne Light and husband, Bruce; son, Terry Davlin and wife, Angie; son-in-law, Cliff Angel; sisters, Rita Greer and Connie Gillam; grandchildren, Lori Davlin, Meagan Davlin, David Light and wife, Nikki, Lisa Light, Renee Vergara and husband, Jaime, Phoebe Becker and husband, Peter, Darcy Darmour Paul Darmour and Justin Angel; along with numerous great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday March 17, 2017, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
