Freddie Lee Carr, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. He was born August 10, 1941 in Yalobusha County to the late Walter Carr and Tennessee Taylor Carr. Freddie attended Yalobusha County Schools and was retired from Hardy Nurseries where he worked as a tree surgeon and landscape gardener. Freddie was a member of Martin Street Church of Christ, he loved landscaping, cooking and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Rev. Sherlyn Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Cornelius Carr, Keith Carr, Kevin Carr, Michael Carr, Tharwin Carr, and Walter Carr III serving as pallbearers.

Freddie is survived by his sister Mary Alice Weathersby (Charles) of Centralia, IL; one brother Joe Carr (Rubye) of Water Valley, MS; his sister-in-law Teresa Carr of Water Valley, MS; his aunt, Charity Johnson of Toledo, OH; his uncle, Ambrose Darden of Toledo, OH; a special friend, Lillie Love; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Lula Mae Booker; and two brothers Russell Lee Carr and Walter Carr, Jr..
