Bobby Gene Boland, 73, of Westville, Illinois, passed away at 5: 35 a. m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman, Illinois.

He was born Jan. 23, 1937 in Georgetown, Illinois, the son of Jessie and Dora Pyle Boland. Bob married Martha Delattre on June 24, 1966 in Westville, Illinois.

She will miss him dearly, along with his two daughters, Dorene Boland and Nancy ( Corbin) Foster; a brother, Leo Boland; a sister, Betty ( Harry) McGowen; a sister-in-law, Florence Boland; a brother-in-law, Kenny Horve and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and Cleo Boland and a sister, Margaret Horve.

Bob graduated from Georgetown High School with the class of 1956. He retired from Tee-Pak in Danville after 33 years of service. He loved deer hunting and enjoyed making the best deer salami and sharing it with family and friends. Bob loved fishing every summer at Barkley Lake in Eddyville, Ky., with his family. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, as well as the Illini. Bob also loved the family's pets, Sassy and Bailey.
