Ted served 10 years of active duty in the US Air Force and traveled the world before settling in Belleville, Ill. He later worked for the US Army in St Louis, MO, while serving in the Air National Guard. Ted was an avid baseball fan, enjoying cheering on the St Louis Cardinals with his family. He enjoyed the solitude of fishing, the closeness of camping with his family, the thrill of a roller coaster, and was proud of his Private Pilot's License.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nancy, nee Jenkins, Acup.
In addition to his four children; Ted leaves six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
