A funeral service to honor the life of Jasper Levon Tanner, 83, of Camden, SC, will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Gregg Slater will officiate. The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial with military honors will precede the service at 10:00 AM at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery.

Mr. Tanner died peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2017. He was born in Indiantown, SC, the son of the late Jasper Tanner and Ettie Hannah Tanner.

Mr. Tanner is survived by his wife, Grace Cribb Tanner; daughters, Tamah Davis of Columbia, Tonya Merricks (Newt) of Longs, SC and Terri McCarley (Matthew) of Camden; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and his 5 sisters.

Mr. Tanner was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
