• MILO -- Graveside rites for Milo native P.W. "Dub" Scott, 75, were Monday at Milo Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.

Scott was born May 7, 1926, in Milo, to Preston W. and Elnora Hancock Scott. He died Dec. 14, 2001, in Oklahoma City.

Raised in Graham, he served in the Navy during World War II and married Patricia Hill on May 10, 1947, in Clemscott. He was a mechanical contractor before he retired in 1987. He was a Baptist and a Master Mason.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Fritza Ewens, Houston, Mitzi Boyd, Elmore City; two brothers, Bonnie, Kermit, Texas, and Jimmy, Elmore City; two sisters, Trelma Obenshain and Zelma Smith; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
