Ridley Boatman
Services for Ridley P. Boatman, 95, of Nampa, formerly of the Buhl-Castleford area, who died Tuesday, Oct. 29, at a Nampa care center of natural causes, will be held at the Hopkins-Buhl Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Lawrence P. Lake will officiate. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery, Buhl.
Mr. Boatman, a retired warehouseman, was born in Tennessee Nov. 14, 1889, and received his schooling there. He married Ermine Beaty in December of 1913. They were later divorced. They came to the Buhl-Castleford area in 1919 where he farmed. He joined the Pet Milk Company in 1940, retiring in 1956. He had lived in the Twin Falls, Nampa and Boise areas since his retirement.
He is survived by two daughters, Cleo Atherton of Twin Falls and Clarke Engleman of Nampa; a son, Clarence Boatman of Bowers Ferry; a sister, Oga Lile of Bonners Ferry; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a son and a sister.
Memorials may be made to the Elks Rehabilitation Center, Boise.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. Friday until time of services.
