Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with the Rev. Lee Roy Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Carlos was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Ivydale, W.Va., to Samuel and Dolphia (Paxton) Summers and married Ruth Hayes on Feb. 3, 1946. She survives.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had worked at the Ford Motor Co.
He was the founder of The True Gospel Church in Creston, where he ministered for several years and had made his home in Lodi for more than 29 years, moving to Medina five years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth of 59 years; children, David (Deborah) Summers of Lodi, Richard Summers of Rittman and Vickie Brown of Medina; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Cary Summers of Kincaid, W.Va.
Sons, Carl Summers Jr. and Samuel Summers and brother, Paris Dulaney, died previously.
