PFC Jerome Lomac McCormick, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Raeford, NC.
Private First Class Jerome Lomac McCormick was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service and a Draftee, PFC McCormick served our country until February 20th, 1966 in South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. It was reported that Jerome died from small arms fire or grenade. His body was recovered. Jerome was born on August 23rd, 1944 in Raeford, North Carolina. PFC McCormick is on panel 05E, line 056 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.

He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), Paratrooper Wings, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Order of Merit Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, Sharpshooter Badge with Automatic Rifle Bar, The National Defense Service Medal.
