Joanne passed away on March 7, 2017, at her home in Davenport.
Joanne Annette Asmussen was born on Sept. 4, 1935, in Davenport, the daughter of Elmer and Vlasta (Stipek) Asmussen. She was married 64 years to Gerald Sullivan on July 11, 1953, in Davenport. Joanne graduated first in her class from Davenport High School in 1953. She worked as office manager for Sullivan Electronics. She was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Davenport and a member of the Quad-City Bicycle Club.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald of Davenport; sons, David and Steven, both of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Scott County Humane Society.
The family would like to thank the following people who helped during Joanne’s illness, Genesis West Medics, the doctors and health care professionals at Unity Point, the Davenport Fire Department, and Dr. Karl Treiber.
