Edward J. "Ed" MacKinnon of Chelmsford, MA, died peacefully on Tuesday March 7, 2017, after a long fought battle with serious health issues.
Edward was born in Norwood, MA, son of the late Malcolm and Patricia (Fallon) MacKinnon.

He graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in 1972 and went on to study at Northeastern University, graduating with a BS in Journalism.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Christine MacKinnon (Lundberg), and his sons, Stephen of Somerville, MA, and Peter of Providence, RI. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings,
Michael MacKinnon and his wife, Dr. Laura MacKinnon of San Diego, CA, Dianne Harrison and her husband Kenneth of Kingston, MA,
Patricia Clair of Holden, MA and Robert MacKinnon and his wife Jacqueline of Temecula, CA.

Ed started his career as a photojournalist for the Milford Daily News, where he had the opportunity to capture his favorite Boston teams in action. He continued his passion for photography by starting his own local business, which he ran for thirty years. Towards the end of his career, his work was focused on family and school portraits in Chelmsford.

Interment: Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
