Gracie Adkins Perry, 97, of Lavalette, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Don Napier and Glen Kiah Williamson officiating.
Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne.

She was born on February 21, 1920 at Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Cleveland and Charity Kimbler Adkins.

Gracie was a member of Philadelphia United Baptist Church and formerly worked for Corbins as a seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charley Perry.

Survivors include her three sons, Douglas Adkins (Joyce), Clifton Adkins all of Wayne, and Wilburn Adkins (Patty) of Lavalette, two sisters, Opal Jefferies of Wayne and Patty Ramey of Lavalette, two brothers, Danny Ramey of Logan and Perry Ramey Jr. of Wayne, eight grandchildren, Barry Douglas Adkins, Vicki Locklear, Raymond Adkins, Larry Adkins, Shana Gray, Joey Adkins, Chris Adkins and Helen Carter, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Gracie was blessed with many wonderful friends, family and neighbors whom she loved greatly.
