Ralph Watson ,76, of Mansfield passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at his home. Ralph was born on September 7, 1940 in Leitchfield, Kentucky to the late Noah and Erie (Geary) Watson.
Ralph was “semi” retired from his lifelong career of auto bodywork. Ralph was a strong willed man with a good work ethic. He enjoyed giving others advice and was a perfectionist. He had a kind heart that was hidden by his gruff exterior. In his spare time, he enjoyed NASCAR, rebuilding cars, racing and doing auto bodywork. He enjoyed watching and playing golf as well.
Ralph is survived by his children, Jerry, Kim and Steve Watson; a sister, Pat Shook; three grandsons, Samuel, Michael, Jacob Watson; two nephews, Tim (Kim) Shook, and Terry Shook; and his best friends, Dick Gahm and Tony Parella.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tom and Bill Watson; and two sisters, Fran Ward and Verna Fuller.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A funeral service conducted by Pastor Chris Thomas will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
