Marguerite Sybil (Lord) Robinson
Bangor - Marguerite Sybil (Lord) Robinson, 98, wife of the late William D. Robinson, went home to be with her Lord on March 4, 2017. She was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Hermon, the daughter of Bradford H. and Rita (Furness) Lord.

Besides working in her father's grocery store, Lord's Market, Marguerite was also employed at Kimball's Store (now C&K Market), Hazemont Diner, United Stores, Freeses Dept. Store and the Bangor Water District.

Marguerite was a faithful member of Hermon Baptist Church, and a member of Hermon Senior Citizens. After retirement she became very active in volunteer work at Hospital Chaplaincy in Newburgh, using her many talents in "making things" for nursing home residents. Marguerite enjoyed making quilts, sewing and her card games. Although most of her life was lived in Maine, she and Bill enjoyed some years in Florida. They also enjoyed traveling in their motor home and the many good times with their traveling friends.

Marguerite is survived by one son, Daniel Robinson and his wife, Betty, of Brewer; daughter-in-law, Carlene Robinson; son-in-law, Edwin Beckman; sisters-in-law, Marise Lord and Sylvia Lord; ten grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, William Robinson; two children, her son, Lloyd Robinson and her daughter, Rita (Robinson) Beckman; five brothers, Alvin, Wildon "Bill", Clifford, Thurlo, and Bradford F. "Dickie".

The family would like to say a special thank you to those at Sunbury Village for their loving care and concern. Also, to the faithful care givers and hospice nurses.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Hermon Baptist Church, 2496 US-2, Hermon with Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10:30 until time of service. There will be a time of conversation and refreshments in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

Those wishing to remember Marguerite in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Hermon Baptist Church, 2496 US-2, Hermon, Maine 04401. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
