Loretta Dee May, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away early on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers- Bryan. Loretta was the secretary to the owner of Elder’s Pharmaceuticals in Bryan. She worked there for 48 years prior to her retirement including 6 months during 1982 in California to train additional staff. Loretta was a member of the Professional Secretary’s Association and First Lutheran Church in Bryan, where she was active in the bell choir and vacation bible school and had been church treasurer. She enjoyed bowling, cross stitch, reading and working word puzzles.

Loretta was born at home on September 10, 1936, in Washington Township, Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of Walter F. and Zelma M. (Peters) May. She was a graduate of Ney High School.

Loretta is survived by her sister, Mary Charlene (May) Moulin; niece, Diana Paffile; nephew, Gus (Tiffany) Ulrich; great nieces and nephews, Tate and Tedi Paffile and Hannah and Sierra Ulrich, all of Livermore, California; and several cousins in the local area. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Loretta will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church in Bryan with Reverend Richard Franks officiating. Private burial will follow at Evansport Cemetery.
