Funeral service for Mrs. John Lashuay, Sr., 67, of Indian River, and a former Midland resident, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Gordonville Methodist Church. The Rev. George E. Saucier, pastor of the church, assisted by the former pastor, the Rev. Clarence Turbin officiated. Burial was in the Homer Township cemetery. Mrs. Lashuay died Tuesday evening in the Little Traverse Hospital, Petoskey. She was born in Grand Rapids, O., Dec. 1, 1889, and was married to Mr. Lashuay Dec. 9, 1909 in Weston, O. The couple moved to Midland in 1910 and lived here until 1951 when they moved to Indian River. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband John of Indian River, are seven sons; Melvin, Rollin, Marion, Eugene and Donald Lashuay, all of Midland; Capt. John Lashuay, Jr., serving with the Air Force in Waco, Tex., and Marvin Lashuay serving with the Navy and stationed in Alameda, Cal., three daughters, Mrs. Howard Jones, Mrs. Stanley McLaughlin and Mrs. John Eberhardt, all of Midland; 27 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Long of Toledo, O., and Floyd Long of Vickery, O.
