Virginia Thomas Jennings, 84, of Collinsville, VA passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. She was born on September 18, 1932 in Fries, VA to the late Dessie Pearl Vaughn Thomas. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee Jennings; son, Harvey Eugene Jennings and brother, Jessie Thomas.
Mrs. Jennings is survived by her daughters, Cathy J. Joyce and Linda G. Jennings both of Collinsville, VA; sons, Tim S. Jennings of Bassett, VA and James L. Jennings (Rhonda) of Collinsville, VA ; sisters, Alice Kahl of Hillsville, VA, Pearl Spraker of Hillsville, VA, Ruth Edwards of Hillsville, VA and Dorothy Edwards of Culpepper, VA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Norris Funeral Services, and other times at the daughter’s home, Cathy J.
