The funeral of the late James Clifford took place yesterday afternoon from his residence thence to St George's P E Church where services were conducted by Rev Ball. Interment was made in St George's cemetery. Former U.S. Senator Geo L Wellington delivered a very beautiful eulogy at the grave. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs: James Jose, Wm Burall, Charles Evans, Calvin Herring, James McFarland and Wm Ewald. Among the out-of-town people who attended the funeral were noticed Mr John Benson, Frostburg, ex-Senator Wellington and M H Mullany, Cumberland.
