Louise Smith Evans of Morristown, passed away March 5, 2017 at Regency Retirement Village surrounded by family.


She was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown and had retired from Dixie Cabinet/Triangle Pacific after many years of service as their office manager.



Louise was preceded in death by her husband: JC Evans, son: Michael Steven Evans; parents: Harlie and Bertha Smith of Greene County; brothers: Eugene and Don Smith, nephews: Jeff Smith and Chris Smith, and great niece Donna Holt Barnes.


She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Louise Smith of Mosheim; sister: Doris Brown of Greenville; sisters and brothers- in-law Linda and Terry Hartman of Mosheim, and Joyce and Bill Schueller; nieces and nephews: Kathy Holt, Tony Smith, David Smith, Angela Brown Harvey, Laura Brown Dyer, Tamara Hartman Wilcox, and Lance Hartman; great nieces and nephews: Chad Smith, Brad Smith, Nathan Holt, Steven Smith, Chase Harvey, Makayla Harvey, Amberly Smith, Jarrod Smith, and Lucas Bennett, special friends Sam and Irene Ridgeway, Geraldine Lewis, and Marilyn Foulks.


Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mayes Mortuary, funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Richard Long officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Lance Hartman, Nathan Holt, Lucas Bennett, Jim Atkins, Clint Wilcox.


A special thank you to the staff, nurses, and caregivers at Regency Retirement Village and Smoky Mountain Homehealth and Hospice.
