Robert Richard Beery Sr, passed away, Jan 6, 1968. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Beery; 3 sons, Robert Jr, Dennis and Douglas Beery; daughter, Lucinda Arndt; 5 brothers, Clyde, Shelby, William, Donald and Howard Beery; 3 sisters, Berniece (Melvin) Muth, Beatrice (George) Mikkelsen and Betty Dreier. Two grandsons, Eugene Gregary Arndt and Johnny David Beery. Funeral services were held at 10 AM, Wednesday, January 10, 1968 at First Baptist Church of Sylmar, CA. The Noble Chapel, San Fernando arranged the services.

Robert ‘Bud’ Richard Beery, formerly of Mason City, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 6th. He was born in Howard County, September 18, 1920, the son of Ernest Merrell and Minnie (Dodd) Beery. He was a W W II veteran. He served with the 34th Division in Italy and Africa. He married Shirley Easley Dec 21, 1945, in Mason City. He was employed by Easley Brothers Plasterers many years until retiring because of ill health. The family moved to CA in December 1966. He was active in the Citizens Band Radio unit and the Southern Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Robert Jr, Lake Mills; Dennis and Douglas, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Lucinda) Arndt, Mason City; two grandsons, five brothers, Clyde, Mason City; Shelby, CA; Howard, Bettendorf; William, Waterloo; Donald, Oregon; three sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Bernice) Muth, Wesley; Betty Dreier, Dumont; Mrs. George (Beatrice) Mikkelsen, California. Two brothers and his parents preceded him in death. Burial was at Newhall, Los Angeles, CA, USA.
