Samantha J. Wilson, 48, Waupaca, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at her residence after a long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, with Pastor Jeff Fletcher officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Monday until the services.

Memorials may be made to Central Wisconsin Autism Society.

Mrs. Wilson was born Aug. 12, 1968, in Hartford, Conn., a daughter of Earl and Patricia (Darm) Hill.

She was in several dart leagues and ran karaoke at local establishments in the Waupaca area.

The last several years she was involved in and was a strong advocate for educating others about autism in the Wisconsin Rapids area.

Survivors include three daughters: Tabetha Spencer and Erica Wilson, both of Waupaca, and Amber (Tony Distasio) Wilson, Stevens Point; her parents, Earl and Patricia Hill, Waupaca; three sisters, Bridgit (Chris Stanlis) Hill, Waupaca, Jane (Randy Hansen) Thomas, Almond, and Leslie (Michael) Stamborski, New London; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Brian Thomas; and one nephew.
